A SPECIAL PRESENTATION FOR UNION CATHOLIC PARENTS WILL HIGHLIGHT STAY CONNECTED FORUM ON JAN. 15

By Jim Lambert

The Union Catholic Parent Council will have a special presentation on Naviance as part of its Stay Connected Forum on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Union Catholic cafeteria.

Naviance is an American college and career readiness software provider that partners
with high schools to provide students with college planning and career assessment tools.

Naviance provides students with a variety of features, including college research and
matching tools, course planning, career assessment and personality tests, scholarship, lists, and surveys to help students connect, what they are doing in school to what they would like to do once they complete their education.

This is the fourth year that Union Catholic is hosting the Stay Connected program.

"Parents will get a first hand demonstration of how the counseling office utilizes the system with the students as well the parents, who are able to search for what they are looking for in colleges,’’ said Allison Lestarchick, Union Catholic’s Director of Parent Relations. “It’s informal and very informational.''

Mrs. Lestarchick also said that information pertaining to the second half of the school year will be discussed at the Forum.
