UC parents John and Jeanette Jaworski donate drapes for cafeteria

By Jim Lambert
When Jeanette and John Jaworski came to Union Catholic for the Grandparents Breakfast last year, they noticed how bright the sun shone into the cafeteria.
So John, a co-owner at Regal Drapes in Whippany, and his wife Jeanette offered to donate drapes to the school.
On Wednesday, John, his two sons and current UC students T.J. and Danny, and John’s business partner Nishan Madawala, completed the installation of the drapes in Union Catholic’s cafeteria.
“When I was here for the Grandparents Breakfast I saw how the sun was shining through during the slide show and you had to strain your eyes to see,’’ said John. “I thought to myself that I could help out with that.’’
John said he and his wife were more than happy to help.
“We love U.C. and we’re happy to support the school any way we can,’’ said John.
T.J. Jaworski said it gave him a lot of pride to do something for his school.
“It’s great to do something like this for my school,’’ said T.J. “It’s good to bestow what you can do for the community.’’
Dr. Karen Piasecki, Union Catholic’s Associate Principal, said the drapes are a great addition to the school.
“They look great and we’re really excited,’’ said Dr. Piasecki. “It’s a wonderful addition. It was very nice of them to think of us and offer their services. We’re really excited because it will make it cooler in the cafeteria, and we still have the ability to open them up and let fresh air come in and look outside.''
