Union Catholic will offer an overview into its unique approach to a faith-based education when it hosts its Fall Open House on Wednesday, Oct. 3.
The eagerly anticipated Open House is open to all students and their families who are interested in learning more about Union Catholic, a premier Catholic High School recognized for its focus on innovative technology in the classroom and a commitment to the Core Values of Community, Respect, Responsibility, Compassion and Honesty.
The Open House, which begins with early bird tours at 6:15 p.m, includes a presentation at 7 p.m. in the auditorium, and tours with Union Catholic’s Student Ambassadors, who will serve as guides. Members of Union Catholic’s administration, staff, faculty, and coaching staff will be also be present to answer questions.
Mrs. Betsy Thornton, Union Catholic’s Director of Admissions, is extremly excited to meet all the prospective students and their families.
“Open House is a very exciting event as we meet our prospective students and families who are searching for their high school,” said Mrs. Thornton. “They can tour our campus, followed by a formal presentation in the auditorium, visit our classrooms for a snapshot of our academic offerings, see all our clubs and athletic offerings, and speak with our faculty, staff and students and hear their UC stories. Open House is our biggest event for prospective students and we are looking forward to a great night.’’
Mrs. Thornton said one of the best things about Union Catholic is that the school offers something for everyone.
“A student can find their niche at Union Catholic no matter what their interests are,’’ said Mrs. Thornton. “Whether it’s a sport, a club, performing arts or social justice, there really is something for everyone here at UC.''
