Union Catholic's Forensics Team Has Very Strong Showing at Liberty Bell Classic

The Union Catholic Forensics Team had another very impressive showing at the prestigious 46th Liberty Bell Classic this past weekend, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.
Yvonne Agyapong led the strong performance for the Vikings by placing third in Original Oratory.
In Declamation, Casey Arias and Gabi Mouris were each semifinalists, and Isabella Capati was a quarterfinalist.
Adrian Hou and Arminder Singh were both semifinalists in Congressional Debate.
Agyapong said she was especially pleased to do well at a tournament hosted by the school that her sister, Amanda, graduated from.
“The competition was rigorous and my fellow competitors were tough,’’ said Agyapong. “But it was an honor just to learn from my peers. It was amazing getting to compete at my sister’s alma mater. I was so happy to have placed in my category at a school that means so much to my family.’’
Singh said the Liberty Bell Classic is a very tough tournament.
“Competing at national tournaments takes a lot of stamina and skill,’’ said Singh. “I’m really glad I was able to do well for Union Catholic.’’
