Union Catholic’s Freshman for a Day Program Begins on Oct. 1

Union Catholic’s Freshman for a Day Program will kick off on Tuesday, October 1. All eighth graders are invited to participate by spending a day at Union Catholic and experiencing firsthand what it is like to be a part of the UC student body.

Freshman for a Day students arrive to Union Catholic at 8 a.m. on their scheduled visitation day, and they are each paired with a UC student guide. Freshman for a Day students will then attend classes, meet faculty, make friends, and participate in daily activities like homeroom, gym, and lunch.

In addition to the Freshman for a Day Program, Union Catholic welcomes prospective families weekly on True Blue Thursdays. Families are invited to visit Union Catholic by appointment on any Thursday throughout the school year from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Mrs. Betsy Thornton, the Director of Admissions, looks forward to welcoming eighth graders this school year.

“We invite any eighth grader to spend the day with us as a Freshman for a Day to experience firsthand the spirit and excitement that takes place every single day at our school,” said Mrs. Thornton. “We are here to answer any questions you may have about our school. Feel free to call me at any time or stop by for a visit.”
