Belina Pardo smashed a homer, collected three hits and drove in three runs to lead the Union Catholic softball team to a 6-1 victory over New Providence 6-1 on Tuesday in Scotch Plains.

After New Providence took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, Bella Donnelly, who finished with 2 of UC's 9 hits, singled in a run in the third inning for UC to tie the game.

A solo home run to right field by Pardo in the fourth inning put the Vkings ahead to stay, 2-1.

The Vikings put the game away with 4 runs in the sixth inning. 

Brooklyn Daikalo earned the win for UC in relief. She allowed just two hits and no runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking just one.
