Scholarship Opportunities

SCHOLARSHIPS

A variety of Union Catholic Scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen who have an excellent academic history, have demonstrated a steadfast commitment to their academics and have demonstrated outstanding character and leadership qualities through their extra-curricular activities.

The following scholarship opportunities are available to incoming freshmen:
 
Principals Scholarship

The Principals Scholarship will be awarded to 8th grade students with an exemplary academic record whose extra-curricular activities align with Union Catholic's Core Values of Community, Compassion, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

Distinction of Excellence Scholarship

The Distinction of Excellence Scholarship will be awarded to 8th grade students with an excellent academic history and whose extra-curricular activities demonstrate a strong commitment to social justice initiatives.

Our Lady of Grace Scholarship

Our Lady of Grace Scholarship will be awarded to 8th grade students with a strong academic history whose extra-curricular activities demonstrate a commitment to community service.

Merit Scholarships

Merit Scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen with an excellent academic history, based on a review of their application, grades and test scores.

Scholarship Exam

Union Catholic offers 8th grade students the opportunity to compete in the annual Scholarship Testing Program. Over $120,000 in scholarship monies will be awarded based on the results of this exam.

Scholarship Fund for Inner City Children

The Scholarship Fund for Inner City Children partial tuition assistance application process for the 2024-2025 school year begins online on February 1, 2024 until April 30, 2024 (ALL documents must be submitted by that date). Please read through the attached important documents. All SFIC applications must be submitted online. CLICK HERE 

There will be a application night where families who have difficulty filling out the application can come and get assistance.  Families wishing to attend must email our office at schofund@rcan.org and be put on a RSVP list and bring all the required documents.  The Application Night will be on Wednesday, March 13 at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center at 171 Clifton Avenue between 4pm - 8pm.  Families must have a scheduled appointment to enter.
