Dual Credit Offerings
Union Catholic's Dual Enrollment Offerings provide a unique and invaluable opportunity for students to earn college credits while fulfilling their Union Catholic graduation requirements.
These offerings set us apart by blending rigorous college-level coursework for sophomore, junior, and senior students with the supportive, personalized high school environment Union Catholic is known for.
Through partnerships with esteemed colleges and universities, Union Catholic students gain access to advanced academic experiences that challenge them, build confidence, and prepare them for the demands of higher education. By successfully completing dual enrollment courses, students not only accelerate their academic journeys, but also save time and reduce the cost of earning a college degree.
These exceptional opportunities reflect Union Catholic's commitment to academic excellence and innovation, equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and credits needed to thrive in college and beyond. They position our graduates as competitive, forward-thinking learners who have already achieved success at the collegiate level before leaving high school.
Dual Credit Offerings allowed my son to transfer 22 credits to Middlesex College, saving money, boosting his confidence, and allowing him to focus on engineering early, creating a solid foundation for his degree.

Not only have our children gotten more flexibility with their college course loads, but the credits they earned at UC have allowed them to complete their undergraduate requirements early and study overseas. Moreover, the college cost savings that flowed from their Dual Enrollment courses have given them the ability to explore post-graduate options that might not have been available otherwise.

25 Years of Academic Excellence, Partnering with Top Colleges to Offer 55+ Dual Credit Courses
To deliver dual credit, our faculty must go through a vetting process. They submit resumes, transcripts, course syllabi, texts, and other resources to the colleges and universities. Currently, 25 members of our faculty serve as adjunct faculty at one or more colleges and universities. 55+ Union Catholic courses are eligible for dual enrollment, which speaks volumes about the quality of our curriculum.
Regardless of where the credit is earned, students will receive a transcript from the specific institution, which can be sent to the college of their choice. Depending on the courses for which they purchase credit, students may accumulate multiple transcripts. To earn the credit, students must register at the beginning of each course and achieve a grade of C or higher.
Although it is not mandatory nor limited to students in AP courses, dual enrollment is available across a wide range of our course offerings to students in their sophomore, junior, and senior years.
Dual credit opportunities are available across a diverse range of courses within both the Humanities and STREAM fields. However, not all courses are eligible for dual enrollment. Teachers communicate available dual credit options in class and on their Canvas pages.
This dual pathway gave my daughter a head start at Drew University, allowing earlier registration for popular classes and reducing stress. Completing core courses like English before college gave her the flexibility to explore different subjects and discover her academic interests sooner as an undecided student.
