Summer Camps and Programs

The Girls Volleyball Camp is for students entering grades 5^th-12^th and occurring June 10-13 and June 17-20 from 5pm–8pm each day.

The camp will be under the direction of Nancy Saggio.  Cost is $215 per student per week OR $380 per student for both weeks.

The Union Catholic Speech & Debate Program is for students entering grades 4^th-12^th occurring June 24-27 from 9am–12pm each day. 

The Union Catholic Speech and Debate Program will equip students with a wide range of important skills that will propel them to success throughout their educational journeys and beyond. During this week, students will engage in a variety of fun, collaborative and innovative activities that will hone their skills in public speaking, improvisation, argumentation, critical thinking, problem-solving, annunciation, vocal delivery, team-building, effective presentation and much more. Students will have time to work independently and in small group settings. Sessions will include games, important resources and guest speakers.

This is an in-person program held at Union Catholic High School, Scotch Plains.

The program will be taught by Program Directors: Edward Sagendorf and John Rotondo. Cost is $265 per student.

The Union Catholic Art for Expression Program is for students entering grades 5^th-12^th occurring June 24-27 from 1pm-4pm each day.

Embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing through the transformative power of art! In this program, students will explore their thoughts and emotions through creative expression, discovering new insights about themselves and the world around them. Led by a school counselor dedicated to creating a supportive environment, students will unleash their creativity and find solace in the process of artistic exploration. Join us for an enriching experience where art becomes a pathway to self-discovery and personal growth!

This is an in-person program held at Union Catholic High School, Scotch Plains and will be taught by Program Director, Arianna Lurie. Cost is $200 per student.

The Boys & Girls Basketball Camp is for students entering grades 3^rd-9^th and occurring July 8-11 from 9am-12pm each day.

The Union Catholic Creative Writing Program is for students entering grades 5^th-12^th occurring July 8-11 from 1pm-4pm each day.

Join us on an imaginative journey where words come alive! In this program, students will delve into the enchanting world of creative writing, discovering the magic of storytelling through various mediums such as poetry, fiction, and personal narratives. Through engaging workshops and activities, participants will unlock the power of their imagination, finding their unique voice and narrative style. Don't miss this opportunity to "Express Yourself" and unleash your creativity!

This is an in-person program held at Union Catholic High School, Scotch Plains and will be taught by Program Director, Arianna Lurie. Cost is $200 per student.

The Union Catholic Young Entrepreneurship Program is for students entering grades 4^th-9^th occurring July 15-18 from 1pm-3pm each day.

This program will be focused on creating a product, building a business plan and presenting the product. The students who will be involved with this program will be a group of 4^th-9^th grade students who will be able to learn 21^st century skills in an innovative environment. The program will be focused on a new topic each day but all with the same concept of building their business. During this process there will be collaborative activities that will allow the students to build important 21^st century learning skills and work as a team. Depending on the number of students, students will work in businesses of two or three. On the final day of the program the students will present their business, Shark Tank style, to a panel of “investors”. Each student will have an opportunity to present their business and each will receive some form of prize. The businesses the students will be building will have a UC connection. The students will create a very simplistic business but with the end goal being something a Union Catholic student could use or wear the following school year.

The Union Catholic Model UN Program is for students entering grades 6^th-9^th occurring July 22-26 from 9am-12pm each day. 

The Union Catholic Model United Nations Program is an activity in which students work together and function as the United Nations to come to resolutions on selected topics. By interacting with global concerns, students will demonstrate an increased tolerance towards different cultures and nationalities. During this week, students will gain a greater knowledge and respect towards international affairs while developing argumentative writing skills. Additionally, in this fun and collaborative environment, students will further their public speaking and critical thinking proficiencies, including improvisation and problem-solving. Sessions will include games, important resources, guest speakers, and a mock conference!

This is an in-person held at Union Catholic High School, Scotch Plains and will be taught by Program Director, Kim Donnelly. Cost is $265 per student.

This program will allow students to participate in Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Overwatch 2, Valorant, Rocket League, and more.

The Union Catholic Social Sparks Program is for students entering grades 4^th-8^th occurring July 29-August 1 from 1pm-4pm each day.

Ignite meaningful connections and foster essential social skills in our Social Sparks program! Through interactive activities and team-building exercises, students will develop communication, empathy, and cooperation while forming lasting friendships. Join us for a week of fun and growth as we build a supportive community together!

This is an in-person program held at Union Catholic High School, Scotch Plains and will be taught by Program Director, Arianna Lurie. Cost is $200 per student.

The Union Catholic All Sports Camp is for students entering grades 3^rd-12^th and is occurring August 5-8 from 9am–12pm each day. 

This program will allow students to participate in many different sports including basketball, volleyball, kickball, and more.

The camp will be under the direction of Anthony Colletti, Head Baseball Coach. Cost is $265 per student.

The Union Catholic Robotics Program is for students entering grades 4^th-12^th occurring August 5-8 from 1pm-4pm each day.

This program will be focused on allowing students to work in teams, learning the basics of building and programming with the Lego Mindstorms product.  Students would have the opportunity to engage in challenges that would utilize their new knowledge and stretch their imagination.  This program is intended for students with little to no previous experience with Lego robotics products.

This is an in-person program held at Union Catholic High School, Scotch Plains and will be taught by Program Director, Samantha Scutieri. Cost is $265 per student.

The Performing Arts Program performance of Annie Jr. is for students interested in performing, ensemble, or stage crew between the ages of 7-18 and is occurring June 24–July 18 from 1pm - 5pm Monday thru Friday (no practice on July 4 & 5), with final performance dates on July 19, 20, and 21 at 3pm. 

The Performing Arts Program performance of Mean Girls Jr. is for students interested in performing, ensemble, or stage crew between the ages of 12-18 and is occurring July 29–August 22 from 1pm - 5pm Monday thru Friday, with final performance dates on August 23, 24, and 25 at 3pm. 

The Program will take place at Stage Craft Studio, 1735 East 2^nd St, Scotch Plains with the final performance occurring at Union Catholic High School, 1600 Martine Ave, Scotch Plains.
