The Girls Volleyball Camp is for students entering grades 5^th - 12^th and occurring June 9^th - 12^th and June 16^th - 19^th from 5 pm – 8 pm each day.

The camp will be under the direction of Nancy Saggio.  Cost is $215 per student for one week OR $380 per student for both weeks.

The College Application Bootcamp is open to current UC students entering their senior year (Class of 2026) occurring June 23^rd - 26^th from    1 pm - 4 pm each day.

Make great use of your time this summer with our school counselor-led program that makes it easy (and fun) to get ahead of the game! We’ll walk you step-by-step through the entire admissions and application process…. all before senior year begins!

The Forensics: Speech & Debate Program is for students entering grades 4^th - 12^th occurring June 30^th - July 3^rd from 9 am – 12 pm each day. 

The Union Catholic Speech and Debate Camp will equip students with a wide range of important skills that will propel them to success throughout their educational journeys and beyond. During this week, students will engage in a variety of fun, collaborative and innovative activities that will hone their skills in public speaking, improvisation, argumentation, critical thinking, problem-solving, annunciation, vocal delivery, team building, effective presentation and much more. Students will have time to work independently and in small group settings. Sessions will include games, important resources and guest speakers.

The program will be taught by Program Directors, Edward Sagendorf and John Rotondo. Cost is $265 per student.

The All Sports Camp is for students entering grades 3^rd - 12^th and is occurring June 30^rd - July 3^rd and August 4^th -7^th from 9 am – 12 pm each day. 

This program will allow students to participate in many different sports including basketball, volleyball, kickball, and more.

The camp will be under the direction of AJ Bonadies. Cost is $265 per student per week or $480 for both weeks.

The Junior Chefs Program is a hands-on cooking class for students entering grades 6^th – 12^th occurring June 30^th - July 3^rd from 1 pm - 4 pm each day.

Students will learn essential culinary skills, kitchen safety, and the science behind cooking while preparing delicious and nutritious meals. Participants will explore a variety of cooking methods and global cuisines. The class emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen. It will empower the participants to develop a lifelong appreciation for cooking. Whether beginners or aspiring chefs, all students will leave with practical skills they can use at home and beyond.

The program will be taught by Program Director, Rebecca Rotondo.  Cost is $265 per student.

The Creative Writing Program is for students entering grades 5^th - 12^th occurring June 30^th -July 3^rd from 1 pm - 4 pm each day.

Join us on an imaginative journey where words come alive! In this program, students will delve into the enchanting world of creative writing, discovering the magic of storytelling through various mediums such as poetry, fiction, and personal narratives. Through engaging workshops and activities, participants will unlock the power of their imagination, finding their unique voice and narrative style. This Art & Yoga Program is for 4 – 8-year old’s occurring July 21^st - 24^th from 1 pm - 4 pm. 

This program combines creative expression with mindful movement. Through fun, interactive art activities, children will explore colors, shapes, and textures while developing fine motor skills. Yoga poses and simple breathing exercises will be incorporated to help young learners increase flexibility, focus, and body awareness. The class will be structured with short, engaging sessions of artmaking followed by calming yoga exercises, all designed to foster imagination, self-expression, and emotional well-being in a playful, supportive environment.  

The program will be taught by Program Director, Katie Sagendorf.  Cost is $265 per student.

The Art for Expression Program is for students entering grades 5^th - 12^th occurring July 7^th - 10^th from 9 am - 12 pm each day.

Embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing through the transformative power of art! In this program, students will explore their thoughts and emotions through creative expression, discovering new insights about themselves and the world around them. Led by a school counselor dedicated to creating a supportive environment, students will unleash their creativity and find solace in the process of artistic exploration. Join us for an enriching experience where art becomes a pathway to self-discovery and personal growth!

The Filmmaking Program is for students entering grades 6^th - 12^th occurring July 7^th – 10^th from 1 pm – 4 pm each day.

This program is a hands-on workshop where students will learn how to generate ideas for their films and will be introduced to the fundamentals of filmmaking including: writing, directing, shot composition, camera angles, shooting, lighting and sound. Students will learn to work together, taking on the many jobs involved in filmmaking as they create a short film of their very own. Act, direct, shoot, light, edit! The class will culminate with a screening of their short films.

The program will be taught by Program Director, John Rotondo. Cost is $265 per student.

The Social Sparks Program is for students entering grades 5^th - 12^th occurring July 14^th - 17^th from 9 am - 12 pm each day.

Ignite meaningful connections and foster essential social skills in our Social Sparks program! Through interactive activities and team-building exercises, students will develop communication, empathy, and cooperation while forming lasting friendships. Join us for a week of fun and growth as we build a supportive community together!

The Young Entrepreneurship Program is for students entering grades 4^th - 9^th occurring July 14^th – 17^th from 1 pm - 3 pm each day.

This program will be focused on creating a product, building a business plan and presenting the product. The students who will be involved with this program will be a group of 4^th - 9^th grade students who will be able to learn 21^st century skills in an innovative environment. The program will be focused on a new topic each day but all with the same concept of building their business. During this process there will be collaborative activities that will allow the students to build important 21^st century learning skills and work as a team. Depending on the number of students, students will work in businesses of two or three. On the final day of the program the students will present their business, Shark Tank style, to a panel of “investors.” Each student will have an opportunity to present their business, and each will receive some form of prize. The businesses the students will be building will have a UC connection. The students will create a very simplistic business but with the end goal being something a Union Catholic student could use or wear the following school year. 

This is an in-person program held at Union Catholic High School, Scotch Plains and will be taught by Program Director, Tim Breza. Cost is $200 per student.

The News Reports Journalism Program is for students entering grades 5^th - 12^th occurring July 14^th – 17^th from 1 pm – 4 pm each day.

Have you ever thought about what it would be like to be a radio personality? A news reporter? In this program students will learn what it takes to be an entertaining and informative reporter through scriptwriting and projects displaying their progress throughout the program as each individual grows confident in their writing and reporting style.

Topics will include:

• Podcast recording through Spotify for Creators APP
• Video editing
• Interview edits

The Life Skills for Success Program is for students entering grades 9^th - 12^th occurring July 21^st – 24^th from 1 pm – 4 pm each day.

This program will provide practical knowledge and strategies to help students navigate real-world challenges with confidence and success.  This program is a comprehensive course that equips students with essential skills to thrive in academic, professional, and personal life.

Topics will include:

• Professional & Career Readiness: Learn how to craft a strong resume, write professional emails, leave an effective voicemail, and create a polished email signature. Gain interview confidence, master social media etiquette, and develop networking skills.
• Personal Finance Essentials: Build financial literacy with lessons on budgeting, tracking expenses, writing checks, understanding credit cards, and preventing identity theft.
• Study & Productivity Strategies: Improve academic performance with effective time management, and organizational strategies. Explore AI’s role in learning, study styles, and plagiarism prevention.
• Wellness & Self-Care: Develop skills in conflict resolution, mental health awareness, and stress management. Learn the impact of sleep deprivation, nutrition, and substance abuse prevention.

The program will be taught by Program Director, Cheryl Rossi.  Cost is $265 per student and students will need to attend the program with a laptop.

The Journaling Program is for students entering grades 5^th - 12^th occurring July 21^st - 24^th from 1 pm - 4 pm each day.

Do your thoughts tend to overcrowd your mind because you have nowhere to place them? In this program students will learn how to allocate their thoughts, feelings, and emotions on a piece of paper. Each day will be a different prompt for students to answer. Through writing students will also be invited to share experiences with their peers through group discussion.

The program will be taught by Program Director, Wakeelah Peace. Cost is $265 per student.

The Model UN Program is for students entering grades 6^th - 9^th occurring July 21^st – 25^th from 9 am – 12 pm each day. 

The Union Catholic Model United Nations Program is an activity in which students work together and function as the United Nations to come to resolutions on selected topics. By interacting with global concerns, students will demonstrate an increased tolerance towards different cultures and nationalities. During this week, students will gain a greater knowledge and respect towards international affairs while developing argumentative writing skills. Additionally, in this fun and collaborative environment, students will further their public speaking and critical thinking proficiencies, including improvisation and problem-solving. Sessions will include games, important resources, guest speakers, and a mock conference!

This is an in-person held at Union Catholic High School, Scotch Plains and will be taught by Program Director, Kim Donnelly. Cost is $265 per student.

The Express Yourself Program is for students entering grades 5^th - 12^th occurring July 28^th – 31^st from 1 pm – 4 pm each day.

In this program students will express themselves through art, dance, and possibly journaling.  Each day there will be a different form of art used for expression and students will use different tools to express how one is feeling.

The Get into Graphic Program is for students entering grades 5^th - 12^th occurring August 4^th – 7^th from 9 am - 12 pm each day.

In this program students will learn how to make an appealing business card, flyer, and event other graphics such as Magazine covers through apps such as Photoshop and Canva. Photoshop can be a bit challenging, but this will help students navigate through these apps for future projects that may require detailed advertisements such as flyers and business cards.

The Robotics Program is for students entering grades 4^th - 12^th occurring August 4^th – 7^th from 1 pm - 4 pm each day.

This program will be focused on allowing students to work in teams, learning the basics of building and programming with the Lego Mindstorms product.  Students would have the opportunity to engage in challenges that would utilize their new knowledge and stretch their imagination.  This program is intended for students with little to no previous experience with Lego robotics products.

This is an in-person program held at Union Catholic High School, Scotch Plains and will be taught by Program Director, Samantha Scutieri. Cost is $265 per student.

The College Essay Master Program is for students who need essay assistance or a complete, ready-to-submit college essay. This is a virtual program run by John Rotondo & Maryann Carolan via Zoom sessions with flexible scheduling. 

We will help you:

• Work on multiple drafts with personal editing
• Adapt the essay to other prompts and colleges
• Discover talents, abilities, and voice as a writer

Option 1: One Session (Initial Edit & Suggestions for Future Drafts) $125

Option 2: Three Sessions (Complete, Application-Ready Drafts) $325

The UC Vikings Prospects Camp is for boys entering grades 7^th - 9^th occurring August 27^th – 29^th from 6 pm - 9 pm each night.

Hosted at Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, the camp will be led by Head Coach Jim Reagan and his experienced coaching staff, who bring over 45 years of combined expertise and a tradition of winning. They will be joined by current players who will help deliver a comprehensive and engaging experience for all participants.

This camp is designed to offer valuable insights and hands-on training, ensuring that attendees gain the skills and knowledge needed to excel. Registration for the camp costs $200 per camper and includes an official Union Catholic t-shirt!
