Spanish Teacher

Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, NJ, is seeking a full-time High School Spanish Teacher for grades 9-12 to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that inspires students to succeed. Responsibilities include, developing level-appropriate instruction, supporting school policies, programs, and administrative procedures, fostering a positive and productive classroom environment, and participating in ongoing professional development in 21st-century skills and educational technology.

The salary range for this full-time position is $45,000 to $60,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards

• Utilize innovative teaching techniques to actively engage students in the learning process

• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere

• Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their academic progress

• Prepare students for standardized testing and assessments

• Incorporate learning technology and educational resources to enrich student learning experiences

• Support students' academic and personal growth through mentorship and guidance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and lesson planning

• Proficiency in proofreading and editing educational materials

• Experience working with high school students in an educational setting

• This is an in-person position; candidates must be able to commute to Scotch Plains, NJ
