UC VisionUnion Catholic HS has recently entered into a partnership with the Microsoft and IBM to provide our students with the opportunity of anytime, anywhere learning through the integration of laptop computers and our current curriculum. Through the use of laptop computers, students have an increased interest level, they have become empowered learners and they are actively preparing themselves for the 21st Century. While using a IBM ThinkPad laptop, equipped with Microsoft Office Professional software, wireless network access to the Internet and their personal email accounts, students have been able to go beyond the traditional walls of learning. Union Catholic students are becoming global learners where limitations to information and ideas do not exist. Students today are growing up in a generation that is engrossed in technology. Traditional methods of instruction do not provide the motivational benefits and the interactive nature that this generation thrives on. Through this program our students become engaged, empowered and enthusiastic learners who will be prepared for their futures like never before. Union Catholic High School |
